I was surfing the internet and happened to come across this comment…
“MLM is basically distributing money from the bottom to the top of the pyramid. Those at the top always get the rewards, the bottom always suffer. It’s that simple. That’s is why it requires constant recruitment of new members or buying of products. However, it will eventually grow till it cannot grow further and the pyramid will eventually collapse when not enough new members are able to be recruited to sustain it. They will then come up with another scheme with another company name, and the pyramid starts all over again.”
According to the comment description then it won’t be MLM or network marketing. It sounded more like a money pyramid scheme to me. If that were the case big network marketing companies like Amway and Usana would have long collapse. It’s a major misconception that in network marketing the top will always get the money, in fact no matter where are you at in the organization you can still make as much money as your upline or more. The only difference is whois building the business? If you are, you will be rewarded but if you are not you will receive nothing. The same thing applies in the corporate world, you only get your salary if you work. The only difference in network marketing is you are able to leverage on your downlines and vice versa.
I see network marketing as an opportunity for any person to become wealthy inside out. It’s not just in terms of monetary. It’s more than just that. It’s about growing yourself from within to reach the level of success in life. I have heard many stories of how network marketing business have change life of common people, people like you and me.
In one particular book, “Why We Want You to Be Rich” authored by Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki, chapter 27 page 305. What would they recommend? Network Marketing! If 2 of the world greatest teacher about business and investing recommends network marketing, it ain’t that bad after all right?
There’s nothing wrong with the business model, it’s the people that exploits the model that is wrong.

MLM or Network Marketing, I consider synonyms. They are one in the same. You are correct, MLM has a worse reputation than network marketing simply because of a few bad apples that spoil it for the whole bunch.
In addition to Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki, Warren Buffett, the second richest man in the world owns Berkshire Hathaway his holding company. Berkshire Hathaway owns Pampered Chef, a network marketing company.
I guess the people who make ignorant remarks like that know more than the 2nd richest man in the world!

Yeah great to point out that! I really didn’t know Warran Buffet has got anything to do with network marketing. But somehow, they all recommended network marketing.
It’s about educating the people about network marketing and business in general. Network marketing is just a system, a structure, it’s still a business after all.

The only thing negative about MLM or Network Marketing is persuading people to buy things they don’t really need, but they buy eventually because of pressure, false hopes etc. I find this dishonest. Some of these people barely get by the month with their salaries. If these are fantastic products, fine. But can anyone of you quote fantastic products at fantastic prices in any Network Marketing industry? They inflate the prices so much. While I know that we can learn the art of marketing and persuade a sale, do you call that money earned the right way or isn’t that potentially snatching someone else’s meal. I am not against Network Marketing. I am against the tactics and ploy used by most of these companies to persuade us to buy things that are at inflated prices or things that we don’t really need, but we still buy because of the way they put the benefits across, which by the way are often inflated and half-truths. That’s why we don’t see Network Marketing companies selling things that we truly need.
Hi VG,
You have just raise up something really true in the network marketing industry. Some companies are really pushy when it comes to selling. The force sell and some eventually have to buy just to avoid the peaching. I personally hate that and don’t encourage anyone to use it in anyway.
It’s all about educating them about the product and network marketing.

The thing to notice is that Berkshire bought Pampered Chef, the company. That is, he bought the top of the pyramid. Where all the money goes. I don’t see old Warren out there with the peons hosting Tupperware parties - he’s too busy reaping their profits.
